All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes, to make it possible. T. E. Lawrence (1888 - 1935), "The Seven Pillars of Wisdom"

I despise the corruption and wickedness of the Knesset and the government of Israel. I don't see the point of voting for such an impure institution.Written by Rav Bar-HayimOne must separate one's emotions from rational thinking regarding the issue of voting. If good, pro-Torah, pro-Eretz Yisrael Jews do not vote then we are abandoning the playing field and providing our ideological opponents with more power. |

- Yesterday was election day in the states. Last night I was at a shul not far from my community. their were some Rabbanim and many students learning with them in groups. At the end of the learning before Aravit (for those who didn't pray yett) a Rav got up in front and started to tell what he felt was the importance of registering and voting. He said that it doesn't matter who we vote for, as long as our community votes and is noticed by the politicians (becuase their is a very low turn out from people of our backgroud (Bukharians).)
I also saw another Torah site based from Queens NY that had written a similar thing. Also their is mention of voting to help Israel. (basically Republican).
With all this said, do you believe it is okay and even correct for Jews in Hutz Laaretz to vote, or is it better not to (especially Jewish candidate even if they are good)? Or should we not in order to be strangers and act as thus in galut.
